SETTING UP YOUR PROTOS BT-COM UNITS
To begin pairing, start with user one’s BT-COM; press the multi-function and up button simultaneously until the LED light flashes, alternating green and red. After this, start pairing mode for user two’s BT-COM by pressing the multi-function and up button, once more simultaneously. Again, the LED will alternate green and red, meaning pairing has begun. After a few seconds, the light will turn purple, and then after one minute, the light will flash green to confirm the pairing has been successful. Repeat the above with user three and four’s BT-COM.
EVERYDAY USE OF YOUR BT-COM
To power on, simply press the multi-function button and you will hear an ascending signal, with the LED flashing red every two seconds.
To adjust the volume, press either the + or – button. A short confirmation signal will sound, and each click will increase or decrease the volume by one level. When the maximum or minimum level has been reached, a long signal will sound.
To mute the microphone, briefly press the multi-function button, which will be confirmed by a tone sequence. Press again to reactivate the microphone. Note, that this function is only applicable in combination with a call or in the PROTOS intercom network.
To disconnect a BT-COM, press the + button for approximately three seconds. A descending signal will confirm the selection. To re-connect it, press the + button again and an ascending signal will play to confirm.
To power off, press the multi-function button for a longer time until the signal is audible. The LED will light up red for two seconds and then switch off.
CONNECTING TO A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
In order to pair with a Bluetooth device such as a mobile phone or GPS Navigation, complete the following steps:
Switch on the BT-COM by pressing the multi-function button, then ensure that the Bluetooth is activated on the device you wish to connect to. Start pairing by turning on the BT-COM: press multi-function button and + simultaneously. The LED will start to flash alternately red and green. After a few seconds, the PROTOS BT-COM will appear on the display of your device, simply confirm the connection and the pairing will be successful, confirmed with a blue LED flashing twice.
You can then handle calls through the BT-COM, by pressing the multi-function button; once to accept a call and for three seconds to reject. You can also redial by a short press of the same button.
